Oh ya. Went back to Boon Lay Secondary School with Bernard today to visit the teachers. For once, we do not have to sign in our names at the security check point right at the main gate. We headed straight to the hall to find Wee Kiong and Si Ping. Found them at the left side of the hall. Not long after we arrived there, the choir members started to organise themselves on the steps of the stage to get ready for their upcoming performance. I could not spot my brother in the first and second row. He told me during lunch that he was in the third row. My reaction was like "Don't lie la. You got so tall meh? You confirm first row one. Is it you didn't turn up for the performance?" Hearing the choir sing should make me proud, but somehow, seriously speaking, the choir just sucks big time. It was way back of standard as compared to my time which was already considered quite bad or at most average. I wonder if the Boon Lay Secondary School Choir can ever make it back to the silver medal for SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) that my batch earned back in the year 2005. The most recent medal was only a bronze. Can you imagine? It was a drop in standard. Anyway, went to find some of my teachers after the whole concert. I found Mr Soh (principles of accounting), Mr Yip (physics), Ms Wee (form teacher), Mr Tay (chemistry), last but not least, Mr Rahim (art). Spoke with Mr Rahim the most. I was planning to bring my beloved batik home today, but he told me that BLSS is going to hold an art exhibition either in the school library or the Library in Jurong Point. Thus, he needed the art work to exhibit as the medium of the most recent art pieces did not include "batik" as a medium. This was what I did for my O level painting 2 years ago:
Personally, I think it is quite nice. *bleahs* Alright, different people have different taste. But this is my style! I scored a B4 for it. Damn. But looking on the brighter side, even the best student for art in my class only got a B3. There was this moment earlier in BLSS when Mr Rahim was talking to another new teacher when I saw him standing right in front of my painting. I rushed up to him and said: "Mr Rahim! I know you love my painting, that's why you are standing in front of my painting right? He was like shocked at I was still around in school. He ended up telling the new teacher he was talking to that I am the creator of the painting *with a huge smile*. That teacher had a look at the gold plated tag that states the my name, class, title of painting and the year which I did it. I was saying like: "Nice hor?! My art leh! *laughs*". I know I am abit 'thick skin' but I just love my painting. Talking about paintings, I love another painting of mine that I did at the end of 2006. Here it is: I love this painting alot too. It looks rather real at certain angle. But too bad, a piece of art can only be done once and not twice or more. It had been some time since I last held a paintbrush and dipped it in variant coloured paints and colour those plain white coloured canvas boards. Bernard gave me a really nice necklace today for advance Valentine's Day prezzie (my bad that I am always busy, so I do not have the time to meet up with him) :)) Thanks Bernard for it! I love it loads! *I hope it does not get lost soon*
Boon Yong sms-ed me earlier on in the evening to ask how did the discussion on Tuesday go. He told me he had been sick since the moment he touched down in China. Anyway, he will be back on 18th February 2008. Oh ya, not forgetting, Wei Da, Wee Kiat, Melvynn please listen up here, Boon Yong said that he miss us while he is away. *cool man!*
Alright, I am damn shag and worn out now. Going to sleep soon to replenish the energy lost today while washing that car. Good night all!! :))
